Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026. This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It protects the people whose systems our probes contact and keeps the Service reliable for everyone.

You may

• Monitor websites, APIs, servers and jobs that you own, operate, or have written permission to monitor, at the intervals your plan allows.
• Publish status pages about your own services and send updates to subscribers who opted in.
• Integrate alerts with your own chat, incident and automation tools.

You may not

• Monitor, scan or probe systems you are not authorised to test, or use the Service to map, enumerate or stress third-party infrastructure.
• Use monitors as a load-testing, scraping or denial-of-service tool, for example by pointing many monitors at one target or configuring checks to evade a target's rate limits.
• Monitor endpoints that explicitly prohibit automated requests, or ignore a request from a target's operator to stop.
• Store or transmit malware, phishing, illegal content or content that infringes others' rights on status pages or in announcements.
• Send status page emails to people who did not subscribe, or use subscriber lists for anything other than status updates.
• Share accounts, circumvent plan limits, resell the Service without agreement, or attempt to access other customers' data or our infrastructure.

Probe identification

Our probes identify themselves with the user agent "MoniterMySite/1.0 (+https://monitermysite.com/docs/allowlisting)" and connect from the IP addresses listed in our documentation. Target operators can allow or block them; we will stop monitoring a target at its operator's documented request.

Enforcement

We may pause monitors, suspend accounts or remove content that violates this policy, with notice where practical. Serious or repeated violations lead to termination. Report abuse to [email protected].
