How it works
Create an account
Sign up with an email address and password. A workspace is created for you with an email alert contact pointing at your address. No card details are asked for.
Add a monitor
Monitors → Add monitor. Paste a URL for a website or API, or choose keyword, ping, port, DNS, SSL certificate or heartbeat. Pick the region and run a test check before saving.
Connect alerts
Your email contact is ready. Add a webhook contact if you want events as JSON in your own tooling; webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA256 and retried three times.
Publish a status page
Optionally create one public status page at monitermysite.com/status/your-page with components, uptime bars and email subscribers. Invite teammates from Team; every plan allows unlimited members.
What you get
All seven monitor types
HTTP(S) with methods, headers, body and auth; keyword presence or absence; ICMP ping; TCP port; DNS records; SSL certificate expiry; and heartbeats for cron jobs. No type is held back for paid plans.
Email and webhook alerts
Down, recovery, slow-response and certificate-expiry alerts by email, up to 20 alert emails per day, plus signed JSON webhooks with a delivery log. Email packs add credits on top if you need more.
One public status page
Unlimited components and groups, 7, 30 or 90-day uptime bars, incident and maintenance announcements, double-opt-in subscribers and a hide-from-search-engines option.
Unlimited team members
Invite as many colleagues as you like with Owner, Admin, Member or Viewer roles. Team size is unlimited on every plan, including Starter.
Your choice of region
Check from New York, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Singapore or Sydney. Starter monitors use one region each; you pick which.

Honest limitations of free monitoring
A 5-minute interval from one region is enough to know that a side project or personal site is down, but it is worth understanding what it cannot do.
- An outage shorter than the interval can fall between two checks and never be recorded, and a 5-minute monitor shows a bigger uptime dip for the same incident than a 30-second one.
- With one region there is nothing to confirm against, so the fail threshold (default 2 consecutive failures) is your only protection against a transient network blip. Multi-region confirmation needs Launch or above.
- Alerts go to email and webhooks only. If your team lives in Slack or Teams, a webhook into your own automation works, or Launch adds those channels directly.
- 20 alert emails per day is plenty for a few monitors but can run out during a long, flapping incident. Webhook alerts are not metered.
Moving between free and paid
Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period. Every first paid subscription carries a 14-day money-back guarantee.
If a workspace returns to Starter limits, monitors above the free allowance are paused, never deleted, check intervals are slowed to the free plan's interval and extra regions are removed. Everything is restored as soon as the workspace is on a paid plan again.

Is MoniterMySite really free?
Yes. The Starter plan costs nothing, has no time limit and does not ask for a card. It includes 10 monitors, 5-minute checks from one region, email and webhook alerts, one status page and unlimited team members.
How many monitors do I get on the free plan?
10 monitors, and they can be any mix of the seven types: HTTP(S), keyword, ping, port, DNS, SSL certificate and heartbeat.
How often does the free plan check my website?
Every 5 minutes at the fastest, and you can choose a slower interval up to 1 hour. Once a monitor is down it is re-checked every 60 seconds regardless of interval, so recovery is noticed quickly.
Can I get Slack alerts on the free plan?
No. Starter includes email and webhook contacts. Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat and Telegram contacts start on Launch, and PagerDuty on Growth. A webhook contact can feed your own integration in the meantime.
Do I get a status page for free?
Yes, one public status page at monitermysite.com/status/your-page, with unlimited components, uptime bars, announcements and email subscribers. A custom domain needs Launch and password protection needs Growth.
What happens to my data on the free plan?
Individual check results are kept for 30 days, daily uptime statistics for at least 400 days and incidents with their timelines for 24 months. Deleting a monitor removes its history immediately.
